The 88th Academy Awards are a few weeks away, but the campaigning side of things has already been instigated. All the honoured Oscar nominees flocked to the annual lunch held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, and two starlets clearly stole the show. These Oscar contenders made sure we’ll be rooting for them on awards night.

Jennifer Lawrence

The Silver Linings Playbook Oscar winner who just earned her fourth nomination for Joy blacked us out in the most refined fashion. Garbed in a refined top and crisp blazer that was cinched at the waist, the 25-year-old couldn’t have been more on point. . Her dark floor-sweeping trousers which clung to her frame before tapering out with a flared hemline made a sturdy fashion statement. The blonde utilised the art of subtle makeup and opted to highlight her doe eyes with black eyeliner, teamed with a peachy-nude pout; the rest was basic but got to admit — the girl’s got inimitable style.

Rachel McAdams

The True Detective star shone like a winner already in her shimmering mini dress. Appearing peachy keen, the 37-year-old stunner donned a peach-pink sleeveless number that comprised an endearing red bow on her chest that was planted just below a chucky jewel-decked neckline — talk about oozing urbane appeal. Exhibiting her edgy bob, Rachel wore her blonde tresses in beachy waves and had on glossy pink lipstick. Accessorising agreeably with a pink clutch purse and pink velvet pumps, we had our eyes on this one! The Notebook beauty has been given a nomination in the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ category for her turn in Spotlight.
