PARACHINAR:

Tribal elders in Parachinar set the houses of two men on fire who were allegedly involved in the killing of four members of a family.

An insider privy to the development told The Express Tribune on Sunday the incident occurred in Pewar area of Parachinar. “Two houses, which belonged to Ishaq Hussain and Toor, were set on fire,” he said.

According to the insider, a group of armed assailants, including Ishaq and Toor, entered the house of their relative, Noor Hussain, and opened indiscriminate fire.

“As a result, Noor’s wife, their sons—Munir Hussain and Javed Hussain—and another relative were killed on the spot,” he added. The motive behind the killing remains unknown.

“After three days, tribal elders took matters into their own hands,” he said. “They set their houses on fire. A car that was believed to have been used by the armed assailants to go to Noor’s house was also torched.”
