Standstill: PIA strikes continues on fifth day

PIA offices have remained closed on account of the protest

PESHAWAR: Pakistan International Airline employees continued to protest for the fifth consecutive day on Saturday over the privatisation of the national carrier. According to insiders, photographs of the prime minister and other federal ministers have been taken off from the walls of Bacha Khan International Airport. As per PIA officials at BKIA, 38 planes are parked at different airports of the country since February 2.  Meanwhile out of them nine are at BKIA. The international and domestic flights have been cancelled, causing. PIA offices have remained closed on account of the protest. In addition, there are limited arrangements to assist passengers and guide them at this stage. A day earlier, BKIA cancelled the access cards of PIA employees.
