Japan just introduced an alcohol flavoured Kit Kat

A bit of cocoa with a shot of Japanese rice wine, this Kit Kat just got tipsy!

Packaged in a traditional Isshobin sake bottle, Nestlé Japan introduced the Sake Kit Kat on Friday.

These chocolate bars contain 0.8 per cent alcohol content, not quite enough to get you drunk considering an average 12-ounce bottle of beer has 5% alcohol content, according to the Center for Disease Control.

But it comes with a warning for children and lightweight drinkers. “Children and lightweight drinkers are kindly requested to refrain from consuming this product," the manufacturer's spokesperson, Takuya Hiramatsu told BuzzFeed News.



This latest addition is currently available in Japan only. Takuya described it as “the elegant taste of sake, wrapped in the gentle sweetness of white chocolate” with a “mellow, full-bodied flavor, and a refreshing aftertaste of sake.”

A pack of three costs around 83 cents.

Japan is famous for a wide range of unique Kit Kat flavours ranging from wasabi to soybean to purple sweet potato to red bean sandwich.

The Kit Kats are a top choice for souvenirs for international tourists. Among them, the Green Tea Kit Kat says 'Japan' like no other and remains the most popular among buyers, reports Rocket News.
