ISLAMABAD:

A day after a call for a nationwide protest against the government, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) on Wednesday announced to hold a ‘peaceful’ rally at Aabpara on February 6.

The announcement was issued by PTI leader Saifullah Niazi at a press conference. The decision has been taken at a meeting of PTI leaders from the twin cities, he said.

Niazi also warned the government against using force. “Staging a peaceful protest
is our democratic right and we will deal with the government if it attempted to
challenge our protest,” he said.

Though the party has given a call for one-day protest, Niazi said that the campaign against the government may turn into a sit-in. PTI chairman Imran Khan has also hinted that the party may go for another sit-in for the good of the people.
