Embezzlement charges: Enquiry into K-P House construction

ACD Deputy Director Aslam Nawaz said a thorough investigation is being conducted into the matter

PESHAWAR: The anti-corruption department (ACD) has launched an enquiry into the embezzlement of millions of rupees in the construction of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad. The building was constructed during the tenure of the Awami National Party government in the province. Speaking to The Express Tribune, ACD Deputy Director Aslam Nawaz said a thorough investigation is being conducted into the matter and their team is in Islamabad for this purpose. According to Nawaz, he, along with XEN Habib Rahim and sub-engineer Arshad Khan, were members of the team constituted by the department’s director, Ziaullah Toru, and the enquiry is under way.“Our teams have sealed the records during a raid conducted on Monday and are now examining the entire case,” Nawaz said.  “We will be submitting our report to the ACD director,” he said. “Our team will be in Islamabad until Friday.”
