Hell Hath No Fury: Woman attacks man with acid

BAHAWALPUR: A man was attacked with acid allegedly by a jilted lover on Monday. The man was taken to the hospital with severe burn injuries. Police said they had arrested the woman and her mother.  They said the woman, a resident of Chak 151, Murad, near Hasilpur, had had a romantic relationship with the victim. He used to visit her house often and he had apparently promised to marry her. Police said two days ago the man got engaged to someone else. Police said that the woman, her brother and mother visited the victim’s dera on Monday while he was asleep. They attacked him with acid and fled. Police said the man was critically injured and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Hasilpur Saddar police registered a case against the woman, her mother and brother. Police said the two women had been arrested but they were still looking for the brother.
