Raqeeb expressed these views during a meeting at the Kohat board auditorium on Saturday. Professor Dr Aqal Zaman and other officials were present on the occasion.
He said the selection of examination centres and appointment of supervisory staff would be made electronically under the directives of the provincial government. The official added to minimise mistakes in marking, an optical mark recognition (OMR) system will be implemented. OMR is a computer software which helps process tests, checklists and other such paper-based material through a scanner. Supplementary exams will be checked under the said policy.
State-of-the-art machinery, computers and special scanners will be bought for the purpose, he informed.
Raqeeb pointed out private schools will be divided into categories and fees will be decided according to their category.
Zaman praised the efforts of the education board and said computerising the system will help a great deal in facilitating the board and minimising errors.
