Local authorities have expelled around 57 Afghan nationals for their illegal stay in district Kotli in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to police and the local administration, around 50 Afghans of five families, who had been living in different areas of Kotli without genuine documents, were expelled on Saturday.
The police said that seven other Afghan citizens, who were roaming in different areas of Kotli without travel documents, have also been repatriated to their country.
Meanwhile, Kotli Deputy Commissioner Adnan Khurshid has directed managements of private schools to construct eight feet high boundary walls mounted with barbed wires to ensure security of their respective institutes.
“It is also mandatory for owners and managements of private schools to hire at least two security guards and weapons to provide security to the educational institutes, their staff and the students,” Khurshid told a meeting of private school owners association in his office.
He warned them that action will be taken against schools which will fail to implement SOPs.
