BISP: 5m people benefit in Khyber Agency

PESHAWAR: Benazir Income Support Programme Chairperson Marvi Memon has said there are five million people who will benefit from the scheme in three districts of Khyber Agency and the number of beneficiaries is likely to increase in the next survey. This was stated in a handout issued on Saturday. According to the document, Memon was speaking to journalists during a visit to the house of a victim who lost his life in an attack on a checkpost in Bara. She added BISP will be expanded to those areas which have been cleared by the Pakistan Army and all resources will be utilised to meet the objectives of the scheme.
