Action against banned outfits

Letter January 28, 2016
Every time a terrorist attack happens inside India, Pakistan is blamed for no reason

RAWALPINDI: It is important to highlight that preventing the re-emergence of banned organisations and individuals, stopping religious persecution, ending sectarian violence, reversing the trend of militancy, taking measures to curb the use of the internet and social media to further the goals of terrorists and extremists, reforming the judicial system and undertaking madrassa reforms are included in the National Action Plan.

Despite this, every time a terrorist attack happens inside India, Pakistan is blamed for no reason. It is very unfortunate that after the aggressive and irresponsible statements by Indian leaders, some media elements in Pakistan have also started propaganda against their own country. The world acknowledges the sacrifices rendered by the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism. What we need is a concerted effort by all stakeholders to eliminate the menace of terrorism. We need sustained efforts and continuous monitoring to curb terrorism and extremism. It is a battle hard won.
