Amid a sea of stars gracing the annual event, Nadia Hussain and Shehla Chatoor caught our eye in particular

Okay, so there were no gold-embossed jacquard gowns or ultra-femme frills — the Pond’s Miracle gala on Saturday night was short on the conventional, refined ladylike flare that would’ve added to the woman-centric occasion. Amid a sea of stars gracing this annual event, super model Nadia Hussain and designer Shehla Chatoor caught our eye in particular — embodying their own take on feminine fashion, these girls made it work — somehow.

She might not receive plaudits from us for her choice of outfit, but gotta say, her ability to do justice to any outfit stirred quite the buzz in the local circuit. Garbed in crimson and black, the supermodel excelled at channeling her inner diva — with a dark side. Donning a waist-cinching ensemble that boasted intricate embroidery and cape detail, Nadia looked appealing. Accentuating her chiselled bone structure, the mother of four rocked a dewy complexion, red pout and smoky eyes. We wished she steered clear of coloured contacts — outdated much?

Casting a bohemian spell, the fashion designer turned the heads of onlookers. The shaggy, off-shoulder evening number exuded fancy-shindig vibes without being overly posh. Oozing class and style in the ultimate dramatic silhouette of the night, Shehla reminded us of a gypsy that found her way home! Elaborate specifics such as oversized sleeves and furry details made her stand out from the rest of the pack. Sporting modest makeup that comprised nude lips and solid-noir eyeliner, she kept her extensive mane free and resting on her shoulders.
