Providing Safety: Rangers DG, governor discuss security

The governor appreciated the army and Rangers' efforts to maintain peace in the city

KARACHI: Rangers director-general Major General Bilal Akbar met Sindh Governor Dr Ishartul Ebad Khan on Saturday and discussed the security situation of universities in Sindh, in the wake of the Charsadda incident. According to the Governor House spokesperson, the DG and the governor also discussed the law and order situation of Karachi and both vowed to continue the ongoing operations in the city till the last terrorist is eliminated. "The governor appreciated the army and Rangers' efforts to maintain peace in the city," the spokesperson said. Since the governor is the chancellor of public universities, Khan assured DG Akbar of making security arrangements inside the universities, the spokesperson said.
