BKU attack: Peace walk held to pay tribute to victims

In order to pay tribute to Bacha Khan University victims, locals in the district organised a peace walk from Sardheri Chowk to Palosa on Saturday.


The walk was led by district council member Muhammad Ikram, Ayaz Salarzai and Hayat Roghani, while a large number of people also participated.


On the occasion, the participants said terrorists are the enemies of knowledge and they want to destabilise the country, especially K-P. The speakers said they will fight against terrorism and continue to spread knowledge and education.


Similarly, students and faculty of Madrassa Islamia held prayers for the martyred souls and prayed for the early recovery of those injured in the incident. Meanwhile, MNA Gauhar Shah demanded the government provide compensation and free treatment to the families of the victims.
