RAWALPINDI:

As part of the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign in Rawalpindi, an operation was conducted on Friday under AC (Cantt) Dr Sataishs.

During the operation, partition walls constructed on government land in front of marble shops along Railways Crossing at Westridge, near Bakery Chowk, were demolished.

According to a press release, Dr Sataishs said several notices were issued these marble shop owners, who did not heed the warning. In addition, she said that 75 marble shopkeepers had extended their shops on government lands along the railway line after cementing the encroached space. The partition walls were constructed to capture the encroached land.
