Safe city project: Rs1b earmarked for Quetta security

The chief secretary said that the government is ready to provide land for the Expo Centre

QUETTA: The Balochistan government plans to spend at least a billion rupees on improving the security infrastructure of Quetta, the top bureaucrat of the province said on Thursday. Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatta told a convention of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry that the Bolan Industrial Estate would be initiated by the prime minister in the next few months. Regarding the longstanding demand of Balochistan traders, the chief secretary said that the government is ready to provide land for the Expo Centre, but the members of the chamber should identify the location.
