LAHORE:

“Terrorists are afraid of fighting educated citizens. Their plans to terrorise us away from campuses will not succeed,” Government College University Lahore Vice Chancellor Hassan Amir Shah said on Thursday.

He was addressing the participants of a walk held to express solidarity with students and faculty of Bacha Khan University, Charsadda.

The walk was held from the Postgraduate Block to the main gate. Shah said systematic targeting of educational institutions was meant to terrorise the youth.  “We will not succumb to their will. Our fight is for progress, prosperity and enlightenment,” he said.  “We cannot end terrorism by spilling more blood.

Pakistan needs an education system which is accessible to every child.”
