Behind bars: Police round up seven suspects

The police seized cash, mobile phones and a motorcycle from the possession of the suspects

CHAKWAL:


The Chakwal police arrested seven persons involved in robbery and fraud on Tuesday.


The Saddar police arrested three persons for injuring a woman, Taj Begum during robbery last week.


The police seized cash, mobile phones and a motorcycle from the possession of the suspects, identified as Zahid Iqbal, resident of Saral, and Azhar Hussain, resident of Jethal and their accomplice.


Meanwhile, the City police booked two men for their alleged involvement in cheque fraud cases.


Abrar Mushtaq lodged a complaint with the local police that Maqsood, a resident of Bhalial, issued him a bank cheque for Rs300,000 which bounced on Tuesday.


Likewise, Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Dhako Road reported to the same police that Ashraf Ali, a resident of Lahore, issued him a cheque for Rs250,000 which turned out to be bogus.
