The Fesco chief said they were working hard to eliminate such errors and justice to electricity users who had received inflated electricity bills. He directed superintending engineers (SEs) to check major industrial connections and ensure the accuracy of mobile meter reading up to 90 per cent. He said the Fesco has inducted 155 new meter readers whose appointment letters would be issued in a couple of days. He said additional line superintendents had also been recruited and more commercial assistants and account assistants would be hired on fast-track basis. Aslam directed Fesco officials to improve their performance and adopt stringent safety measures while working on live electricity lines.
He also directed Fesco employees to handle electricity users and complainants in a patient and polite manner. He said all possible steps should be taken to solve their issues on priority. “Strict action will be taken against those who are found guilty of delinquency.”
