Over father’s dispute : Minor girl killed in armed attack
The Sarhad police handed over the body to the family after the postmortem

A minor girl was killed by armed men in the Bahoo Chachar village near Sarhad Railway Station in Ghotki on Saturday night. According to reports, following an enmity over a karo kari dispute, a group of armed men raided the village and opened fire, due to which eight-year-old Maira, daughter of Akbar Ali Chachar, was killed on the spot. The assailants later fled the scene. The Sarhad police reached the site and shifted Maira’s body to Taluka Hospital, Ghotki for a postmortem. Talking to Ghotki-based journalists, Chachar said he was involved in a karo kari dispute with some persons of the Pahore clan who, according to him, raided the village and opened fire, killing his daughter. The Sarhad police handed over the body to the family after the postmortem but no case was registered till the filing of this report.
