LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Sabzazar SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking registration of a case against some of his wife’s relatives for pressing him to divorce her. Ayazur Rehman submitted that Shahid, Amir, Jajji, Bilquees, Salma Bibi and two unidentified people had abducted him a few weeks ago and told him to divorce his wife. He said he did not want to divorce her and she, too, wanted to live with him. “They want me to divorce her because they want to force her into sex work.” Rehman said he had requested the SHO to take action against them but he had done nothing in this regard. He requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against them.
