Quetta violence: Five people including a woman, killed

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the heirs for burial

QUETTA: At least five people, including a woman, were killed in two separate firing incidents in the restive Balochistan provincial capital on Friday. According to the police, the first incident took place in Ghosabad area of Satellite Town, where unknown armed men opened fire on a vehicle, killing three of its passengers, including a tribal leader. “The attackers opened fire on a car and later fled unchallenged. As a result of the firing, a passerby also received bullet wounds,” an official said. In a separate incident, two persons, including a woman, were shot dead near Spini Road area. “The accused, Ali Ahmed, killed his wife and a man, Muhammad Shoib, and fled after committing the crime,” said an official.

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy and later handed over to the heirs for burial. “It is a case of honour killing. Hunt for the accused, Ahmed Ali, is underway,” he said.
