Regional collaboration: NAB officials asked to enhance coordination (Islamabad city)

ISLAMABAD:

The country’s top anti-corruption body chief has asked the officials to enhance coordination between regional bureaus and implement the executive board decisions in letter and spirit.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry gave this directive to the top officials of the bureau at a meeting held at its headquarters to review progress on NAB’s monitoring and evaluation system (MES) here on Friday, said a press release.

Chaudhry said that effective monitoring and evaluation helps in improving performance and achieving results to improve management of outputs, outcomes and impact.

He said it is an important management tool to track progress that facilitates in decision making as well as establishes links between the past, present and future actions.

He directed DG operations to further coordinate with all DGs of regional bureaus and implement decisions taken in letter and spirit to further improve institutionalization, support and supervision at different levels of management.

During the meeting, director-general headquarters gave a presentation regarding the progress on the working of system and its efficacy.

He informed that NAB has developed an effective MES catering the needs of all having salient features of maintenance of data at each stage including  complaint entry, complaint verification, inquiry, investigation, prosecution stage and record preservation of regional and executive boards meetings including case brief, decisions made and list of participants attended the meeting with time and date and ability to analyze data in qualitative and quantitative form having warnings and alarms system for violators.
