Nano-Chemistry: GCU awards first ever PhD

His work was supervised by Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh

LAHORE: The Government College University has awarded its first PhD degree in Nano-Chemistry. Muhammad Arshad was conferred the honour on completion of his research titled Synthesis Characterisation of Transition Metals Nano-particles (supported ZnO, Fe2O3, TiO2 and SiO2) and Their Application in Catalysis. His work was supervised by Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh. Farrukh said research in the field of Nano-Chemistry could be helpful in solving several environmental and energy related issues in the country.
