Tragic: Cop injured in gas leak blast

Attock DPO Rana Ayaz Saleem has constituted a team to investigate the incident

ATTOCK: A police official was injured on Friday in a blast caused by a gas leak ar the District Police Officer’s office in Attock.  According to the police, the blast, which occurred in the reader’s room of the legal branch DSP, was caused by a gas leak. Police official Nawazish Kayani was “badly injured”. Kayani was taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Attock for treatment and was said to be in stable condition. The police also said that the room caved in as a result of the blast. In his statement, Kayani said that the blast occurred after he lit a match to turn on a gas heater in the room.  Attock DPO Rana Ayaz Saleem has constituted a team to investigate the incident.
