Passing out: 130 naval marines graduate from training centre

The Naval Staff Deputy Chief Rear Admiral Shafqat Javed was the chief guest at the event.

KARACHI: A total of 130 Naval Marines graduated at the passing-out parade on Wednesday at the Marines Training Centre in PNS Qasim, Manora.

The Naval Staff Deputy Chief Rear Admiral Shafqat Javed was the chief guest at the event.

The chief guest urged the graduating marines to focus on character and professional grooming.

Marines Commander Captain Muhammad Waris, in his welcome address, highlighted the four phases of the training, which include academic training, computer training and training in basic war tactics.

The chief guest later awarded Muhammad Ali the best mariner award, while Allah Rakha was the runner-up.

Behram Ali was awarded the Iron Man award, Muhammad Faisal received the best marksmanship award and Amanullah received the best watermanship award. The proficiency banner was awarded to Tippu Platoon.
