Sonu Nigam is set to join the likes of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in being immortalized at Madame Tussads museum.

"Sonu was approached last December; they're expected to arrive in a month to decide on his look and measurements. He is waiting for work on his next album to get over before he focuses on this," a source close to the singer-composer was quoted as saying, reports The Times of India.

However, Sonu took to Twitter to clear the air about ongoing speculations and asked his fans to wait for the official announcement:

np | 7 years ago | Reply "The leading playback singer will become India’s first non-actor to have a wax statue at Madame Tussauds museum." Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Sachin Tendulkar all have statues there. Notone of them is an actor. Just today, Modi's statue was unveiled.
