KARACHI: There are people who want to make our cleanliness campaign a failure, said Sindh local government minister Jam Khan Shoro. “But, I want to send them a message that we will make it successful.” Shoro was addressing media at Shah Faisal Colony during his visit to various areas of Karachi on Tuesday. Sewerage water had inundated MA Jinnah Road between Tibet Centre and Jama Cloth Market on Monday afternoon, resulting in a huge traffic jam. Investigation into the matter revealed that there were gunny sacks and stones in the sewerage lines of the main road. Someone is playing foul by making the lives of Karachi residents miserable, claimed Shoro. “I don’t want to blame any political party for putting gunny sacks and stones in the sewerage line,” he said.
