Will Atif Aslam finally bag the Filmfare Award this year?

Atif Aslam has done it again. The singing sensation has been nominated for a Filmfare award for the fourth time, this time for his soul-stirring song Jeena Jeena from Badlapur.

The Pakistani singer will be competing against Ankit Tiwari - Tu Hai Ke Nahi (Roy), Arijit Singh - Gerua (Dilwale), Arijit Singh - Sooraj Dooba (Roy) and Papon - Moh Moh Ke Dhaage (Dum Laga Ke Haisha) in the category Best Playback Singer (Male).

Atif has made waves across the border and continues to do so. He was previously nominated in the same category for his song Woh Lamhe (Zeher) in 2006, but lost to Himesh Reshammiya for Aashiq Banaya. He was nominated again the year after for hit Tere Bin (Bas Ek Pal), but lost to Shaan and Kailash Kher for their song Chand Sifarish. The third nomination came in 2010 for Tu Jaane Na in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, but once again Atif lost -- this time to Mohit Chauhan for song Masakali (Delhi 6).

Fawad Khan picks up his first ever Filmfare award

The only other Pakistanis to have won the prestigious award so far are Fawad Khan, who won Best Male Debut Award for film Khoobsurat in 2015, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who won Best Playback Singer (Male) for song Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji from film Ishqiya in 2011.

Will Atif be fourth time lucky and finally win this year?
