Prostitution charges: Six men, four women arrested from brothel

Police also confiscated three bottles of alcohol, one 9mm pistol and five bullets from the site

At least six men and four women were arrested from a brothel in the limits of Saddar police station on Saurday. A police official said SHO Azim Khan along with other officials raided a brothel allegedly owned by Adam Khan Marwat in Hemat. Six men and four women, found in objectionable state, were apprehended.


The accused were identified as Aqib, Salim, Shakil, Zohaib, Ali, and Faiz. Faiza, Sana, and Saima were also arrested. The identity of the fourth woman could not be ascertained.


Police also confiscated three bottles of alcohol, one 9mm pistol and five bullets from the site. A case has been registered at Saddar police station. On January 7 in Peshawar, the high court granted bail to two women and a man arrested for suspected involvement in prostitution. During the proceedings, the Peshawar High Court questioned police performance, saying such activities could come to an end only if the police wanted.
