PGSG: Bridging gaps between public, lawmakers
The group will take up issues related to the electoral and parliamentary reforms
PESHAWAR:
Provincial Governance Support Group (PGSG) has been formed to lessen the gap between public institutions and the public.
The group has been set up under the auspices of URDO (United Rural Development Organization), a founding member of the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN).
PSGC comprises people from the media, academics, youth and minority groups. The support group is responsible for involving stakeholders in the reforms pertaining to Parliament.
The group will take up issues related to the electoral and parliamentary reforms, and advocate for them with policymakers and elected representatives, Election Commission of Pakistan and the provincial administration.
Provincial level parliamentarians will be engaged to form a legislative support group for multiple agendas on policy advocacy.
