Australian 'Comedy Queen' recreates celeb Insta posts and the results are hilarious

Remember when women tried to pose as female comic book heroes? What a colossal disaster it was! Now, Australian comedian Celeste Barber has come up with a similar project whereby she recreates Instagram photos of popular celebrities in a hilarious manner.

And we have to admit, her posts are hilarious!

Celeste -- who likes to call herself the 'Australian Kardashian -- is on a mission to prove how ridiculously unrealistic celebrity photos are and hopes to give celeb-obsessed fans a reality check. In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, she revealed that it started as a fun project but soon it snowballed into something bigger. "It was just for a bit of fun with my sister. We would see hilarious photos on Instagram of people doing yoga, celebrities, health lifestyle bloggers saying 'this is just what I do – what everyone should do' and I thought – all right, challenge accepted. The challenge was to see how stupid I would look doing some of the stuff, and I look pretty stupid!" she said.

"Celebrities just flood social media, so there were quite a lot of hilarious photos out there," she said. Dubbed the "Australian Comedy Queen" by ABC News, Celeste professes that doesn't have a favourite celeb who she likes to impersonate. Although, she did reveal that she enjoys pictures in which she looks stupid.

"I think the easiest ones are the Kardashian-Jenners because that's their world – they own social media.
