Pakistanis are having a field day on Twitter and DC Comics can take all the credit. Comic book enthusiast Khaver Siddiqi tweeted an image from DC Comics’ recent release Superman/Wonderwoman Annual #2 to point out a slight issue with the text. Can you spot the mistake?

'Pakistanian' is not a language. It’s not even a word. Pakistanis speak Urdu among numerous other languages, last we checked. A Google search could have saved DC from the embarrassment, but it was simply too late.

Here is how people who speak 'Pakistanianis' reacted:

Richard Gray | 8 years ago | Reply Maybe Dc comics called it Pakistanian because in that comic universe Pakistan doesn't have multiple languages but instead one superior language. People need to realize that this is a comic book and not everything in them are real. I mean I love science but you don't see me insulting Marvel comics because they have a fake element call Vibranium. An also in Dc comics there is a fake language called Kyptonian. The only reason this is a issue is because people want something to complain about.
Mekal Faruki | 8 years ago | Reply Urdu, is mispronounced Ordu, the Turkish word for the Order, or the Army. The Turkish word Ordu is found in English as the Mongol Horde, the name for the Central Asian Armies of the Mongols. Properly Ordu/Urdu/Horde are the same word. Urdu began as a camp language of the Turkish troops who invaded India. This is why you find Turkish, Arabic and Hindi words in Urdu. The troops had to transact business with the local population, so they invented this language to communicate.
