Train project : Police assure full cooperation for managing traffic along route

We have listened to the complaints of residents and assured them that their grievances would be redressed

CCPO Amin Wains said on Tuesday that police had devised a comprehensive security and traffic plan in connection with the construction of the Orange Line Metro Train project.


He made the remarks at a meeting held to review arrangements for construction of the public transport facility.

Wains said police would cooperate with the district authorities on issues pertaining to displacement of shops and houses due to the project’s construction.

Lahore DCO Capt (r) Muhammad Usman said officials of the district administration had visited all shops and houses set to be affected by the project and resolved all outstanding issues. “We have listened to the complaints of residents and assured them that their grievances would be redressed,” he said. He said the project’s route had been mapped and compensation had been provided to all those set to be affected by the project.

Operations DIG Haider Ashraf assured all those present on the occasion of cooperation of all SPs, DSPs and SHOs in their respective jurisdictions.
