National treasure : DCO calls in on Waris Ali Waris

MULTAN:

DCO Zahid Saleem Gondal visited Waris Ali Waris, a famous Seraiki poet and intellectual, at Nishtar Hospital on Sunday and promised Rs100,000 for his medical expenses. Waris has been suffering from hepatitis and kidney disease for a year. Gondal prayed for his speedy recovery and told him that the government would help him at every step of his treatment. The DCO said Waris is an asset for the Seraiki region and the government would offer every possible support to him. He said that he would request Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to announce financial assistance for the poet’s treatment.
