Anti-polio campaign on January 11

A district control room has been established to ensure security of the polio teams

RAWALPINDI:


Around 811,000 children in Rawalpindi district would be administrated polio drops during a five days country wide anti-polio campaign.


The campaign will continue from January 11 to 15. In this regard, all preparations have been made. A total of 1,784 teams will participate in the campaign.

A district control room has been established to ensure security of the polio teams.  District Health Officer Rawalpindi Dr Muhammad Rafiq said 61,000 more children would be administrated polio drops this year as the number of benefited children was 750,000 last year.

He said an inclusive plan has been chalked out to stop the spread of polio virus.
