Old enmity: Five injured in Paharpur tehsil

The official added soon after an FIR was registered, the rival group also lodged a similar case with them

At least five people were injured when two rival groups opened fire on each other in Kot Jai village of Paharpur tehsil, DI Khan on Saturday.


According to a police official, seven armed men opened fire on Salim’s family, injuring him and two of his sisters, Halima Bibi and Sumera Bibi.

The official added soon after an FIR was registered, the rival group also lodged a similar case with them. “Maqbool told us seven people shot at his family, injuring his son Rehan and his sister Iqra Bibi,”
he added.

The injured were taken to Civil Hospital Paharpur DI Khan by their relatives where they are in stable condition according to the doctors present at the facility.

Paharpur police station registered FIRs against 14 people based on complaints filed from both sides and have started further investigation.

“Both families have an old enmity with each other,” the police official said.
