The victim’s family claimed that she attempted suicide under duress as police officials asked her ‘obnoxious’ questions during investigations.

The victim, a student of grade eight had left for a tailor’s shop near her house when she went missing, the complainant said. A day after her kidnapping, her family received a message that she was lying unconscious in a room of a hotel situated in Upper Mall, Lahore. Police recovered her and arrested six people, including the hotel manager.

Now we know why the Pakistani rape statistics are so low. The four male witness rule and then this condition keeps the statistics low.Recommend

@Muslim First: you should be ashamed of asking these question from a rape victim . People like you are a source of defaming Islam . We should all demand hanging of 8 rapists in public after a fair but quick trial . Recommend

PM or CM punjab should take a lead and look into this matter pesonally and enforce strict laws otherwise there will be more incidents like this , Speedy justice and harsh punishments like public hanging in such cases will definitely discourage such animals .May Allah grant patience ,courage and justice to the victim .Recommend

Very sad turn of events. This is stark difference between India and Pakistan. In India a rape victim gets overwhelming public and media support resulting in death penalty for the rapist. Whereas in Pakistan, the public blames/shames the victim and media silent, only option left is suicide for the unfortunate victim.Recommend

Again there is a political connection to the crime. Ruling elite politicians of Pakistan are scum of society. Police is not supporting the innocent victim.

God bless the victim and giver her strength. The culprits must be given severe punishment.Recommend
