Land Occupation: Locals protest against govt decision
They said the construction of stadium will render many residents homeless
SWABI:
Residents of Kotha have protested against the K-P assembly speaker and provincial government’s decision to build a stadium on land occupied by them. They have warned that if the government and the administration did not take its decision back, they would take to the streets in protest. Locals added K-P Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and the Swabi DC will be held responsible for any reaction. A jirga in this regard was held among Kotha’s elders and the affected people. Participants said Qaiser is forcefully trying to snatch 80 kanals of land to build a stadium and a college. They said the construction of stadium will render many residents homeless.
