Progress review: RDA announces several updates

RDA Director Engineering said funds will be demanded from the Punjab government to complete projects

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is working on several mega projects to facilitate residents, according to RDA Director Engineering Asghar Warriach.


He said construction and carpeting of Airport Road will be completed this year at a cost of Rs540 million. In addition, he said a sewerage line will be laid from Chohan Chowk upto Koral Chowk, while the remodelling of Ammar Chowk and Katchery Chowk is also under consideration.


Warriach said construction of underpasses is also under consideration to overcome traffic jams. He said funds will be demanded from the Punjab government to complete projects.


He further said that remodelling of Mall Road will be done by National Highway Authority, while work is in progress on Bostan Road. He added that work on Scheme III, Lahore High Court Road will be completed by June at a cost of Rs500 million.
