Old enmity: Teen killed at cricket match

One boy was killed while another was critically injured when two assailants started firing at players in an ongoing cricket match within the jurisdiction of Tajori police station on Thursday.


According to SHO Noor Aslam, children were playing cricket when Wasim and Nauroz started firing upon the players, severely injuring Fayaz, 13, and Tariq, 14. The injured were shifted to the hospital where Fayaz succumbed to his injuries and Tariq is reported to be in a critical condition. The police registered an FIR against the alleged shooters and said the firing was a result of an old enmity. Meanwhile, Sadiqullah filed a report against Zakaria, Shah Waliullah and Noor Ahmad Jan for opening fire on him, his father Muhammad Gul and his servant Farmanullah.
