Violent attack: Woman shot dead by robbers

LAHORE: A pregnant woman was shot and killed by robbers late on Tuesday near Race Course Park. Police said Amina and her husband, Usman, were returning home from a restaurant. “Two gunmen intercepted them on Sunder Das Road. They held them up and snatched Rs18,000 from Usman. When they tried to snatch Amina’s cell phone, she resisted. The robbers shot her several times and fled,” police said. Amina was taken to a hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. Her child was under intensive care.
