KARACHI:

Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FPCCI) president Mian Muhammad Adrees on Monday lauded the three rupee cut in power tariff announced by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the FPCCI Export Trophy Awards.

The FPCCI chief said the electricity rate cut will bring improvement in the industrial sector.

“Three rupee rate cut in power tariff means survival and revival for the whole business community,” said the president of the apex trade body of Pakistan.

Electricity is a vital input in production process and discount in tariff means cut in cost of production leading to higher gains for the whole chain, from manufacturers to wholesalers and retailers.

Idrees said that electricity rate cut will strengthen the local industry.
