Anees Javed has been given the task of leading the team with Nisar Ali serving as his deputy. Meanwhile, the team will be coached by Abdul Razzaq, as per the PBCC announcement. Muhammad Bilal Satti will also be a part of the touring party as he has been named the team manager for the India tour. Among other announcements for the Asia Cup were Tahir Butt’s confirmation as trainer and Asif Azeem’s appointment as the media manager.
The PBCC was earlier forced to withdraw their participation for the event due to threats by India’s extremist group Shiv Sena against Pakistani actors, singers and sportsmen. But since some of the tension has subsided now, the board has decided to go ahead with their plans.
