SWABI:

The passing-out parade of 274 police recruits was held at Police Training School in Shah Mansoor Police Lines, Swabi on Saturday.

The event was attended by DIG Mardan Muhammad Saeed Khan Wazir, Minister for Health Shahram Khan Tarakai, Swabi Deputy Commissioner Matiullah Khan, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Tarakai congratulated the recruits and distributed awards among those who had achieved excellence.

He said the government relies on such competent police officials who give priority to hard work rather than their own personal interests. “It is because of their hard work the K-P police is the best force across the country,” he added.

According to Shahram, all recruits either have BA or BSc degrees while a number of them have master’s degrees.

“An educated police force will undoubtedly discharge their duties in an efficient manner,” he said. “DIG Wazir has made a commendable effort to develop a merit-based police force to ensure law and order.”

SP Muzammil Khan said the recruits will further be given more training to enhance their skills.
