Raids: Four alleged drug peddlers; 14 POs arrested

The police have registered cases and started investigations

MUZAFFARABAD:


The Muzaffarabad police claimed to have arrested four alleged drug peddlers, 14 proclaimed offenders (POs) and two thieves during raids in different areas on Thursday.


On a tip-off, the Saddar police raided a drug den and arrested four suspected drug peddlers including the ringleader, identified as Asghar, and seized 55 grams of hashish from their possession.


The same police also claimed to have rounded up 14 proclaimed offenders during arid in different areas of the city.


Meanwhile, the same police also arrested two thieves, whose names were not disclosed, and recovered two stolen laptops and other valuables from their procession.


Meanwhile, the Gharidupatta police seized 210 bottles of liquor during a raid at a house in Ratti Dahri village, some 25 kilometre from Muzaffarabad. The police also recovered a pistol from the house. No arrests were made, however.


The police have registered cases and started investigations.
