ISLAMABAD:

Residents of rural areas Koral Chowk, Ghori Town and other adjoining areas have demanded that the federal government set up a fully-fledged hospital for them to provide them better and affordable health facilities at their door step. The residents of Koral, Ghori Town, PWD Colony, Jinnah Garden, Sawan Garden, Navel Anchorage, River Garden and many other localities said that they either have to travel to Islamabad or Rawalpindi even for ordinary ailments as these localities have been without a hospital. They said that the basic health units, if existed somewhere, have been without medicines and professional staff including medical officers and nurses, leaving them with no option but to move to the already overburdened city hospitals where they hardly get attention from specialist doctors.
