The resignation, which was tendered after a meeting with Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, follows Nawaz Sharif’s decision to make Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, the provincial president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), as the next chief minister of Balochistan for the remaining tenure.

The Murree agreement was signed by the PML-N, PkMAP and National Party on June 4, 2013. According to the deal, the slots of three advisers to the CM and eight ministers in the Balochistan cabinet were given to the PML-N.
