Red carpet round-up Sansui Stardust Awards 2015

Performances and awards took a back seat as a gamut of Bollywood A-listers posed and scintillated under the limelight

Performances and awards took a back seat as a gamut of Bollywood A-listers posed and scintillated under the limelight. The Sansui Stardust awards event stirred up a razzmatazz — with the eye-catching ladies strutting up a storm at the red carpet.

Alia Bhatt

After a few lackluster advents, Bollywood’s most bubbly ‘Radha’ is back with a bang and can she rock black bustier gowns! Sporting a strapless, black number with contrasting canary-yellow printed panels on the sides, Alia looked runway ready. Polishing up her elegant ensemble, by NY based Indian designer-duo Sachin and Babi from the Resort 2016 collection, the starlet went with a smooth pulled back hairdo and delicate smokey eyes. We were slightly more than pleased.

Jacqueline Fernandez

The Roy darling graced the red carpet, looking every inch of an ethereal revelation. Tastefully clad in a lavishly feathered Elio Abou Fayssal gown, diamond earrings and a corresponding clutch, we felt the hearts of spectators sprinting. Though feathers were almost hackneyed this year, the diva pulled it off with a unique panache. She went low-key on makeup — with a supple peachy blush and a full crimson pout framing her face.

Sonam Kapoor

Surprisingly, the Khoobsurat starlet didn’t really cut an impressive figure at the esteemed ceremony. Adorned in a blue-black, clutter-patterned Ulyana Sergeenko Couture dress, Sonam looked awkwardly gaudy. From the ill-fitted bustier top to the garish pinstripes and that ridiculous peplum detailing, the Raanjhanaa cutie failed to charm. Besides that, we didn’t quite dig the retro hairdo and makeup — it, in fact, made her appear fatigued. The upside: her Mahesh Notandass and Farah Khan Fine Jewellery pieces added refinement to her otherwise calamitous look.
