When asked if B-Town influenced the actor's fashion choices while growing up, Fawad said: “As far as style is concerned, no. The Bollywood we watched when growing up was a time when Amitabh Bachchan was doing films like Satte Pe Satta and Anil Kapoor was doing Mr India," he said.
“In the 80s, film [Bollywood] fashion was something that was probably not in line with what I liked,” confessed Fawad. The actor, who made his Bollywood debut with 2014 film Khoobsurat, said men shouldn’t wear flared pants.

“For the longest time, they were wearing flared-bottom trousers; they would start flaring from the knee-down so that’s not the kind of fashion that I necessarily agree with. I never thought men should wear those,” he said.

The actor, who has been lauded for being a lead actor in TV serial Humsafar, added that the fashion trend in the 1970s and 1980s did not “influence” his “kind of fashion”.
